| Xmas and boxing day
Had the usual xmas family gathering. lots of food :) played tennis and soccer
with my cousins. twas good.
Boxing day: Went and saw the film Babel
with Brad Pitt and Cate blanchett- surprisingly, a major piece of shit...major
disapointment. walked out before it was even finished. i read the plot outline
before hand and i knew what the film was trying to convey and yet it was lost
on me...the abrupt shifting of scenes with no linkage whatsoever ruined the
whole film but also...there was so many fucking blah blah scenes where the
material was completely irrelevant but even worse, disturbing- little boy
masturbating in a desert, deaf japanese girl displaying her hairy privates to
some guy who made fun of her disability- just awkward to watch (with the folks)
but especially cos it had absolutely nothing to do with the main storyline. And
the story of the American tourists played by Cate Blanchett and Brad Pitt which
really was supposed to pin together this mess was depicted less frequently than
scenes that were supposed to be minor...well if they were supposed to convey
some underlying theme they were completely lost on me- like there were more
boring freeze- the- moment shots of the wedding of Brad's children's nannies'
son's Mexican wedding or of the Jap girl getting stoned. Incidentally the
girl's father was supposed to have sold the gun to the Moroccoan man whose sons
accidentally shot Cate blanchett and the jap girl's mother apparently died by
shooting herself and she is just acting out of grief. But that doesnt explain
the fact that everyone except Brad and Cate seem to acting out their sexual
frustrations -which if it was a French erotic film, it was be fine but this was
hardly the sort of thing i think the Babel directors were trying to get at.
Let me put it this way: i sat through an entire session of Scary movie 4 and
yet i would not stay to watch the end of Babel. But then again, i Brokeback Mountain bored the hell out of me so who knows maybe everyone will love it.

| Casino royale....great movie...probably that and The prestige are now on the list of my all time fave movies... the chemistry between Bond and Vesper (Eva Green) is so sweet and so believeable.
Bond: I have no armour left, you've stripped it from me. Whatevers left, whatever is left of me, whatever i am- im yours.

aww...dont you just love falling in love? well i guess its beautiful in that initial lovey dovey honeymoon stage... hmm time for some summer loving ;)

And I know reminiscing just isn’t an option
but the one thing I will always remember
is you driving me home,
holding my hand as I slept beside you
on this hot hot day
with the wind blowing through the windows
fuck i miss being with u. and then strangely not,
as if i was looking at the whole picture somehow detached from it all.
yep, reminising just isnt an option
